The Brixworth Engineering Company Ltd has been designing and manufacturing engineering solutions since 1962. Family owned from the start, we built our reputation on confidential, precision engineering work for demanding sectors including aerospace and automotive.

Our founder designed and built the original Benco engine stand, a product born from listening closely to the needs of managers, mechanics and engineers on the shop floor. That single stand has grown into a full range of engine stands, welding positioners and workpiece manipulators, all built to safely move and rotate large, awkward or heavy objects. Today our equipment handles loads of up to 20,000kg, giving engine manufacturers and repair operations a faster, easier and much safer way to work.

Every product in the Benco range shares the same design philosophy: combine ease of operation with complete safety of load manipulation, while giving engineers full access to the workpiece. What started as a solution for engine assembly and repair has since been adapted for a much wider set of applications, from gearboxes and transmissions to aero wing assemblies, excavator buckets, oil exploration drill bits, precious metal ingot moulds and prefabricated buildings.

In 1999, we strengthened our capabilities further by incorporating J.A.P. (Northampton) Ltd, significantly enhancing our sub-contract machining services alongside our own product range.

Decades of hands on experience have taught us what engineers actually need: rugged, cost effective equipment that stands up to daily use in demanding industrial environments. That experience now underpins a product range used worldwide by engine manufacturers and a wide variety of other industries requiring safe, efficient handling solutions.

Based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire, we continue to design, manufacture and support the Benco range from the same site where it all began, backed by decades of manufacturing know how and a genuine commitment to solving real engineering problems.
