Snow chains are becoming a must have winter driving accessory and not just for those travelling abroad on skiing holidays. Anyone who encountered problems last winter will agree! But how do you decide the right chain for the job? Well recently, two relatively new Pewag products were put to the test by three major automobile associations in Europe. Quality products from Pewag always present a good case for themselves in these tests and this time it was no exception! The Pewag Snox-Pro was placed high up on the podium at the snow chain test of ACE (Automobile Club Europe) and the Association for Technical Monitoring (GTÜ). The jury described the product as "highly recommended". The Snox-Pro was also awarded test winner for driving comfort, value for money and ease of fitting. The Pewag Snox system had also previously won over the jury of the Automechanika Innovation Award 2010. This new passenger car snow chain received the prestigious prize in the "Accessories" category last year. The Pewag Servo also scored highly in the latest snow chain test of ADAC 12/2011. In this test, the largest automobile association in Europe compared twelve different snow chains and the Pewag Servo achieved a top result. It gained points especially because of the outstanding wear values, as well as the easy mounting technology which makes retensioning unnecessary. The same result was awarded by the Austrian automobile club ÖAMTC. The ADAC and Austrian sister organisation ÖAMTC alsong with the Dutch motor club ANWB praised the Pewag Servo for the simple and effective innovative technology used in mounting and demounting of the chain and also for the high quality of the Pewag product. The ACE (Automobile Club Europe) and the Association of the Technical Monitoring (GTÜ) elected the new Pewag Snox-Pro as the best steel snow chain in the test with additional plaudits coming from the ADAC, ÖAMTC and ANWB.
