Bilco UK has been solving one problem since 1989: how to give a building safe, permanent access to every part of it. Roofs, floors, walls, ceilings. If it needs a hatch, a door, a vent or a ladder, Bilco UK builds it.

The company operates from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, holding stock of roof access hatches, smoke vents, floor doors and ladders ready to ship in a range of sizes and materials. That means fast turnaround for architects, specifiers and contractors who can't afford to wait on a build programme.

The Bilco name goes back further still. Established in America in 1926, the brand has spent almost a century supplying access products to construction and engineering projects worldwide. Bilco UK carries that legacy forward, backed by the manufacturing standards of parent company Quanex.

Quality isn't a slogan here. The business runs a LEAN manufacturing system with ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditation, and every product is designed, fabricated and checked against consistent standards. Products comply with current Building Regulations and legislation, and come with class leading guarantees.

Where a project calls for something more complex, Bilco UK's technical team gets involved directly, working through the detail to develop the right solution rather than pushing a standard part that doesn't quite fit.

The values driving all of this are simple: respect, trust and honesty. That, paired with a can do culture, shapes how the company handles design innovation, product quality, technical support and customer service. Environmental responsibility runs alongside it too, with materials and processes chosen to keep impact to a minimum.

Bilco UK sits within a wider group, alongside Profab (wall and ceiling access) and Howe Green (floor access), giving the Access 360 proposition real depth across every part of the building envelope.

Safe access, all areas. That's the whole point.
