NEW 8 METRE CONTINUOUS DRIER FROM BDC IS LARGEST TO DATE

BDC Systems has now introduced its latest Svegma Continuous Flow Drier – an 8 metre wide version which offers a grain drying capacity of over 100 tonnes per hour. With many years of experience in grain drying, BDC Systems has worked closely with Svegma to develop this product for the UK market as a solution for drying cereal crops, oil seeds, pulses, small seeds and other granular products. The drier is manufactured from heavy gauge galvanised steel plate to give long life and durability. The modular construction enables the drier to be installed indoors or out and coloured cladding can be added to meet planning or environmental requirements. In operation it offers the advantages of low noise and dust levels, low power requirements. Nuway/Bentone pressure jet burners, for oil or gas, in two or three stage supply the full operating temperature range and are easy to maintain. The grain column includes roof section, buffer, cooling and drying sections. Sight glasses show grain levels and flow throughout the column. The adaptable cooling sections can give up to 50% of drier volume and are controlled from ground level to ensure continuous efficient operation. Svegma’s proven mix flow design ensures highly efficient operation. The grain flows over special tapered hot air inlet laterals followed by exhaust laterals. This is repeated throughout the column to achieve uniform drying and mixing of the grain. The drier complies with quality assurance and CE Marking standards.
