The desktop switches are characterized by their extremely compact design. The equipment is very cost-effective and therefore excellently suited for the connection of end equipment via the 10/100Base-TX. An additional port in the form of a fiber optic uplink (100Base-FX) can be used for connection to a central distributor. Initial operation is made in plug & play mode, manual configuration of the equipment is not necessary. The RJ-45 ports set automatically per Auto Negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X. The equipment is based on a Layer2 switch with Store & Forward.
