Modular CANopen I/O Solutions
Modular CANopen I/O Solutions ABB‘s ioNODE digital and analog I/O and relay output modules provide expanded machine control across our NextMove range of motion controllers and our MotiFlex, and MicroFlex intelligent drives. Using the CANopen DS401 protocol the modules are set-up with dip switches and programmed via a series of pre-built MINT commands within the controller. ioNodes may also be used as a decentralized I/O expansion system with DS401 compatible third party devices. The compact DIN rail mounted solution This allows a range of IO types to be connected to the CANopen network which may be up to 100m long with transfer rates up to 1000Kbits/s. Individual channel status LEDs and error codes allow thorough yet straightforward troubleshooting. The 24 VDC level I/O is fully short-circuit proof and completely isolated from the CANopen bus. A complete range of cabling accessories is available. A family of CANopen I/O modules - Wide range: Combined and Separate Digital I/O, Analog I/O and Relay - Modular: Quick and Convenient DIN Rail Mounting - considerably reduces machine wiring - Compact size - Baudrates up to 1000 kbit/s - CANopen DS401 - may be used with third party CAN components - CAN Expansion - CAN expansion The number of individual input, output and relay modules that can be accommodated on a single network is dependant upon the controller platform used. The ioNODE DIP switch setting allows up to 31 node ID addresses. Note: MINT motion controllers and drives reserve node address 1 for the CAN network master and node 0 is invalid, hence a maximum of 30 modules can be used.
