Gauge Hatches

A wide range of Gauge Hatches are offered by Aval, all with padlock hole, and benefiting from competitive pricing. They are usually available ex-stock in standard materials, and in 4”, 6” or 8” size options. The range includes four aluminium hatches – Models 144, 145 146 and 147 – all featuring nitrile rubber packing for maximum vapour tightness. Model 144 and 146 are of a gravity closing design, with the cover relieving at 44 mmWG, and connections drilled to ANSI 150 lb, whilst the Models 145 and 147 are screwed down hatches, intended for operating pressures up to 500 mmWG and with threaded connections to ANSI B2.1. Two further AVAL supplied Gauge Hatches – Models 242 and 243 – are manufactured in Carbon Steel as standard or in Stainless Steel if specified. The Model 242 can be supplied with an opening pressure of +165 mmWG (other opening pressures are available on request) for installation as a pressure relief valve, and the Model 243 is designed for operating pressures up to 0.5 Kg/cm2.
