So, It's that time of year again and Audioserv were invited back to provide full production for The Wetherby Beer Festival 2025.
Every year, Wetherby Beer Festival is growing in size and this year our Kv2 sound system provided the acoustic clarity needed for such a busy and large event. With multiple bands on stage along with acoustic singers and kids entertainment acts we also needed a mix solution that fit our requirements along with having a monitor mix engineer as well. To this end, two of our Allen & Heath D-Live S7000 consoles worked together perfectly and with our FOH engineer mixing the bands effortlessly great sound was enjoyed by everyone throughout the two day festival.
Lighting in the marquee provided a few challenges, mainly with the marquee being a low roof height and the length of the marquee. We designed a lighting arrangement that worked not only for the lighting engineer but also the performers on stage giving them as much stage space as possible to perform on. Our 7R beams punched through the haze with ease right to the back of the marquee.
We used a mix of BeamZ Pro 7R Beams, ADJ Jolt Panel FX panels, LED Wash Moving Heads, BeamZ Pro 2 Cell IP Blinders and BeamZ Pro fresnels. We designed a goal post truss that just fit in under the marquee and then provided a lighting floor package of fixtures so that the acts were lit up from the front and side with rear floor lighting providing a nice backlight. The Jolt's were perfect at providing 'eye candy' when the acoustic acts were on and allowed the crowd to fully focus on the act on stage.
For the first time a large rotating mirror ball was hung in the marquee and with 8 of our 7R beams focused on it the mirror ball reflected their beams all over the marquee.
With the weather being very warm and clear skies, the beer was flowing, the music was great and the turn-out was superb a great weekend was had by all.
