New STAR SR 32-J Turning Centre arrives at Asgard Engineering Ltd. in Hyde
Further sales growth predicted for the coming years. Hyde, October 11, 2011: Asgard Engineering today announced the arrival of a new STAR SR32-J turning centre at their Arthur Street factory. MD-Ian Hampton said, “We are delighted with the new installation and the additional facility to thread whirl gives us a cutting edge, specifically in the Orthopaedic industry.” Hampton’s continued commitment to the STAR sliding-head lathes is a testament to the high standards set by both organisations. “We have always prided ourselves on accuracy and high precision, so for me there was no other choice!” He further went on to explain the continued growth that Asgard has seen in sales over the past two years and is looking forward to more of the same over the next two and beyond. “We feel we have set ourselves very high standards in the supply of precision turned parts and every member of the team takes a great deal of pride in what they do”, he added. “Of course our customers have come to rely on these standards and so we continue to produce precision components of the very highest quality, continually improving wherever possible as part of our ISO 9001:2008 accredited procedures and we’re already operating ISO 13485 quality systems in support of our medical implant manufacturing.” Although the factory from the outside looks quite unassuming what is produced within the four walls is nothing short of spectacular enabling the company to deal in such high value markets as Orthopaedic & Medical, Aerospace, Flow-Control and Electronic Connectors, Hermetic Seals and highly specialised sectors of the Automotive industry, such as braking systems, shows that there is more than a little life in the UK manufacturing scene.
