Astana, Kazakhstan

We created a bespoke glass artwork for this formal garden in Astana. Working with an international landscape architect, Randle Siddeley, this artwork and the adjacent water feature were designed to compliment the surrounding landscape. We collaborated with the renowned glass artist, Martin Donlin, to produce the layered imagery of horses for this external screen. The glass was screen-printed and slumped, creating a texture that not only responds well to artificial light but in fact shimmers in sunlight.
