Proof of Progress at the Johnnie Walker Experience Centre

Ancorite’s work on the flagship Johnnie Walker visitor centre in Edinburgh for global leader in beverage alcohol, Diageo, is progressing as planned. This Edinburgh attraction is primed to be the focal point of Diageo’s investment in Scotch whisky tourism and our team is delighted to play a role in the upgrade of the old iconic House of Fraser building. Work on the project situated on Princes Street began a year back with our specialist team laying the floor screeds and levelling compounds. Now, heading into the second phase, we will move onto the installation of bespoke Mondeco terrazzo flooring to the Welcome and Retail Areas, before completing with a new precast terrazzo staircase that will span the 6 levels. To complement the upgrade, resin finishes will be added to the exhibition areas and back-of-house. Ancorite is delighted to be contributing to the meticulous restoration of this exceptional landmark building that will undoubtedly become a cornerstone of the city.
