These radios are compact, robust and simple to use-ideal for a wide range of short- to medium-range communication needs. Each unit is 21cm high (including antenna), 6cm wide, 4cm thick and weighs 275g. They offer up to 16 channels and a maximum range of around 2 miles in open areas.
Each radio comes with a rechargeable battery providing 10 to 20 hours of use, depending on how much it's used. Spare batteries are available if needed for continuous operation. Chargers are included in the hire price-typically 6-way chargers, but single units are available on request.
The radios feature a belt clip for easy attachment and an accessory socket for optional extras such as earpieces, speaker mics or headsets (available separately). You can hire as many or as few units as needed-there�s no minimum set size.
They operate on standard Ofcom-licensed VHF hire frequencies, and you�ll be covered under our supplier�s licence-no paperwork needed. If you have your own Ofcom frequency, we can reprogram the radios for a small fee.
Functionally, these radios match the performance of models from major brands like Motorola, Kenwood, Icom and others. We also offer digital Hytera walkie-talkies if required. Accessories such as leather cases, headsets and spare batteries are available to hire separately.
