Alta Lifts was established to design and manufacture disabled access lifts that satisfy the expectations of its users. Alta Lifts designs, manufactures and installs vertical platform access lifts for use in any commercial, residential or office buildings. Platform lifts are different to traditional passenger lifts in that they travel at slower speeds, require the user to hold the button to move the lift, and are limited in the load that they can carry, usually up to 400KG. They do not require a deep pit to be excavated, can be installed easily into existing spaces, and are a low cost alternative to passenger lifts. They are designed for use by a wheelchair user and an attendant or up to four persons and can be installed into existing or new building projects.
