Falling into Autumn

As summer draws to a close, hot weather turns harsh, and nights begin to fall earlier and earlier, there’s something that happens every September that manages to sweeten the pot a little. And no, we’re not talking about pumpkin spice lattes! Around this time of year, parents and carers can rejoice and put behind them the hours spent filling the back garden paddling pool; the nights spent failing to sleep as the young ones, oblivious to the obligations of tomorrow, giggle, scream and “whisper” at the early hours of 2 AM; the last minute shops for various pens, pencils, rulers, and a couple of notebooks that you know are still going to be left empty by the end of the year, save for a stunning title page. And while we do love our little rascals, it’s relieving to see their kindness in letting us actually finish a glass of wine while they’re knocked out after a long day at school. Feet up, true crime documentary, candle burning, and the little ones tuckered out in bed feels like a true return to form. While the Autumn season progresses we’ll get to see browning leaves, an uptake of cider and hot chocolate, and hopefully (or hatefully for some,) more thunderstorms to come. We’re also going to be directing a lot of our efforts towards Halloween, and while we can’t spoil any of the secrets just yet, you can be sure that our upcoming products will be full of both terror and delight, as well as amazing scents.
