ASC secures Asian Distribution

Advanced Supply Chain has expanded its partnership with Sinotrans, China`s largest logistics company, after being accredited as an overseas group agent. This accreditation gives ASC additional exposure to the Sinotrans worldwide network and comes just one year after the companies entered into a partnership to offer UK customers end-to-end logistics for the movement of goods to and from Asia. The expansion of the partnership will improve the UK company’s ablility to provide cost effective movement of goods between Asia and Europe, with the Sinotrans Group covering all of China as well as other major international economic areas. Mike Danby, Chief Executive of ASC, said: "This accreditation is testament to the successful relationship we have developed with Sinotrans over the past year, and also supports our aim to offer customers an international end-to-end service." ASC provides pre-retail, distribution and freight forwarding services for many of the UK’s major brands including Matalan, Asda, Makro and DFS. Government-owned Sinotrans employs 20,937 staff and has over 100 distribution centres across China, with road, rail and river connections covering most of inland China.
