PTFE Lined Crimped Tips

A PTFE-lined tip is the recommended tip to use for dispensing Cyanoacrylate adhesives. It can prevent premature curing and clogging, and reduce consumable costs. PTFE is a non-stick material that prevents the adhesive from curing prematurely and reacting to the moisture cure associated with a Cyanoacrylate adhesive. By preventing the tip from clogging, which can be a problem with other types of dispensing tips, it can be used for longer periods before replacement. 

PTFE-lined tips are available in a variety of sizes, lengths and shapes, so you can choose the one that is right for your application.

When choosing a PTFE-lined tip, it is important to make sure that it is compatible with the Cyanoacrylate adhesive that you are using. Higher viscosity adhesives used a larger diameter PTFE-lined tip. Low viscosity adhesives use a small diameter PTFE-lined tip.

Here are some other recommendations for dispensing Cyanoacrylate adhesives:

- Use a dispensing tip that is about the same gauge size inner diameter as the deposit required.
- Apply light pressure to the dispensing tip to control the flow of the adhesive. This can be pneumatic or manual pressure or electric peristatlci pump.
- Dispense the adhesive in a well-ventilated area or consider use of a basic fume extraction system.
- Wear gloves and eye protection to avoid contact with the adhesive.
- Use an Adhesive Dispensing Ltd debonder liquid to break-down and remove Cyanoacrylate from skin or surfaces.

PTFE-lined tips attach to syringe barrels, dispensing valves and bottles with a luer lock thread. The PTFE tube is crimped to the stainless steel shaft to provide a safe and secure attachment and to guarantee consistent liquid flow.

The Teflon tube extends 1/8" from the stainless steel tube to prevent damage to sensitive substrates. All PTFE-lined tips are industrial grade safe for use to 100 PSI pressure and are silicone-free materials.
