Evolution of Technology – shaping your future
PLEASE NOTE: Due to a last minute cancellation from the keynote speaker it is with great regret that the Evolution in Food Technology event will no longer be going ahead next Wednesday, 16th June. Both the Faraday and ABB are very disappointed we have had to cancel the event but due to the interest from the food industry and the interesting programme for the day we do intend to reschedule. A set date has not been made as yet but it is likely to be towards the end of September or early October, more information will be sent out as soon as a date has been set.. Food Processing Faraday, in association with ABB Robotics, will be demonstrating novel technologies from across different industry sectors in a one off event for UK food and drink businesses. The innovative day, to be held on Wednesday 16th June at ABB’s impressive headquarters in Milton Keynes, will be showing how to achieve advantage through science and technology through a range of presentations, workshops and hands-on demonstrations. To demonstrate the evolution of one of the key technologies for the sector Alan Spreckley, of ABB Robotics, will provide an insight into the past, present and future of robotics. New technology is transforming food production and packaging, and this event aims to showcase exciting new developments in the chemical and defence sectors which could benefit food and drink companies by speakers from both the Centre for Process Innovation and the Royal Military College of Science. In addition delegates will be treated to a retailer’s perspective of robotics within the food industry, along with the chance to see some of the latest processing technologies aiding the industry, including a live demonstration of the Faraday’s uniquely designed, world first, Hygienic Depositor. David Walklate, Innovation Consultant at the Faraday, will show how the new ‘milking principle’ allows for improved efficiency by reducing change-overs, reduced costs by minimising and simplifying the cleaning process, and better hygiene. Pete Moores from the Faraday says “We are proud to be working with ABB to bring exciting new developments from our network to the attention of food and drink companies, and look forward to working with companies to gain maximum advantage from technologies in other sectors as well as our own."
