WITT introduces the latest addition to its F53 valve range: the F53Ndeto with ¼" connections. This valve provides dependable protection against deflagrations and stable detonations of flammable gases and gas mixtures. It finds application in various sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical industries, and in safeguarding sensors and laboratory equipment. Brand new to this model is a temperature-sensitive element that halts sustained flashbacks.
Featuring an extremely compact design compliant with DIN EN ISO 16852 and suitable for installation in any orientation, the F53Ndeto ensures straightforward installation. It holds an EU type-approval from the German Federal Physical-Technical Institute PTB, aligning with Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX).
Certified for Group IIA, IIB, IIC from EN/IEC 60079-20-1, the F53Ndeto effectively halts flashbacks for almost all flammable gases and gas mixtures (excluding oxygen) using a flame arrester crafted from sintered chrome-nickel steel.
But that's not all; this WITT innovation offers additional safety features. Alongside preventing flashbacks, the device includes a temperature-sensitive element that intervenes before internal temperatures reach hazardous levels. Upon surpassing a critical temperature, a plastic component melts, shutting the valve and halting gas supply, ensuring maximum user safety.
The F53Ndeto serves as a deflagration flame arrester, safeguarding systems and components with a maximum volume of 4.6 litres and a maximum absolute pressure of 1.1 bar, commonly seen in the chemical industry. It also acts as a detonation flame arrester in small pipelines with a maximum absolute pressure of 1.5 bar, protecting gas analysers.
Crafted from stainless steel (1.4404) with seals made of FKM or FFKM, the high-quality fitting comes with standard G1/4 female thread connections. Its maximum permitted temperature is 60 °C.
