Popular paper options include acid free tissue, news offcuts, kraft paper, corrugated paper, and glassine paper. Plastic alternatives such as bubble wrap and foam rolls are also widely used. For filling voids, loose fill chips, inflatable pillows, and coiled paper systems offer a practical and protective solution.

Cardboard sheets can strengthen cartons and separate layers, while postal packaging such as padded bags, mailing boxes, tubes, and mailing bags helps protect individual items in transit. For pallet loads, edge protectors and slip sheets improve stability and help guard against strapping damage and impact.
