Lex Massey, the Sustainability Manager at Wernick Group, has recently taken on a new role as the Chair of the Sustainability Committee at the Modular and Portable Building Association (MPBA). This role is an exciting development for both Lex and the industry, highlighting his commitment to promoting sustainable practices in the modular and portable buildings sector.
The Sustainable Committee aims to focus on developing industry standards and guidance focused on sustainability. Lex saw his involvement with the MPBA as a great opportunity to further both Wernick Group’s and the sector’s goals. As Wernick is already a full member of the MPBA, it was an easy decision for Lex. The MPBA allows Wernick to extend its influence within the sector, help solve business problems, reach new opportunities and ensure they keep up to date with developments in an evolving industry. This is particularly critical as the industry strives to achieve net zero emissions and adapt to evolving technologies.
With two decades of experience in sustainability, Lex is eager to make a meaningful impact in his new role. “This is an exciting time for the modular and portable sector as we embrace sustainability and build on the current success. There are a lot of benefits to modular and portable buildings as we can offer either a holistic service-based solution for temporary requirements. A key part of my role is to gather data, provide the narrative and to build case studies that showcase our sector’s capabilities.” Commented Lex.
