Steve Jones and the East Coast Bike Challenge 2014

Steve Jones, Service Manager (pictured above left) at Weiss Technik UK, will yet again be scaling (and cycling) the dizzy heights of Uncle Sam in aid of Velindre Cancer Centre. After scaling Mount Kilimanjaro and cycling across California, Steve is taking on his third major challenge and attempting to cycle 515km in five days from Boston to New York, including a gruelling 90 mile section across the entire length of Long Island. Steve will be tackling mountains and coastal roads with long, tough climbs and descents, spending an average of nine hours a day in the saddle (making seven and a half hours a day at Weiss Technik UK seem like a walk in the proverbial park). Steve is committed to raising at least £5000 for Velindre Cancer Centre, the largest Cancer Centre in Wales that cares for, supports and treats over 130,000 patients each year.
