Meet Paul Burroughs – Our New Business Development Manager with a Passion for Challenge

The team at Weiss Technik UK started off the year by welcoming the latest addition to our Sales team, Paul Burroughs. With over 20 years of experience in sales, Paul has worked with global leaders in various sectors, including metallographic laboratory equipment at Struers, pharmaceutical production inspection at Mettler Toledo and mass flow instrumentation for Bronkhorst and Alicat. Prior to his career in sales, he also gained hands-on experience in heat treatment of metal components and optical coatings. This diverse background makes Paul well-equipped to handle our environmental test chambers and solutions, bringing valuable insight to the many industries we serve.

Describing himself as having “the mind of an athlete and the body of a sumo wrestler”, Paul applies the same level of dedication to his personal challenges as he does in his professional life. Having completed several triathlons, marathons and obstacle events, he focuses not on speed but on endurance – ensuring he reaches the finish line, no matter how long it takes. This patient, long-term approach mirrors his new role as Business Development Manager at Weiss Technik UK, where building and nurturing strong client relationships isn’t about quick wins, but about fostering trust and delivering lasting value.

Paul is also no stranger to adrenaline-fuelled adventures, having taken on parachute jumps, hiked numerous mountains and even flown a Cessna light aircraft and a microlight. His wealth of experiences has already sparked many engaging conversations in the office, and we’re looking forward to hearing even more of his incredible stories.
