MD Brett Green Reflects on a Busy 2024 at Weiss Technik UK

As we near the end of another year, I find myself reflecting on what has truly been a remarkable year for Weiss Technik UK. This year has been one of significant milestones, both for our company and for the industries we serve.

It’s been a year of growth, innovation and collaboration. We’ve attended a host of key industry events, partnered with amazing charities and rolled out exciting new services to support our customers. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to deliver the high standards of excellence that Weiss Technik is known for, and I couldn’t be more proud of everything we’ve achieved together.

As we look ahead to 2025, I’m filled with anticipation for the opportunities and challenges the New Year will bring. Before we turn the page, let’s take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights of 2024.

Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence

2024 marked a major milestone for Weiss Technik UK: 25 years since our incorporation. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, innovation and hard work that has driven our success over the years. We are incredibly proud of our history and excited for what the future holds as we continue to grow and evolve in the environmental simulation, clean air and life sciences sectors.

New Office, New Beginnings

Thanks to continued growth and success, we moved into our new premises at the Loughborough Technology Centre at the start of 2024. This move marked a significant milestone for Weiss Technik UK in our 25^th year, providing us with ample space for expansion and a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and creativity.

In the summer, we held an inaugural event to celebrate the move, which was graced by Dr. Petra Schmidt, COO of our parent company Schunk Group, and Peter Kuisle, Managing Director of Weiss Technik. During the event, we were honored to receive a bronze bust of our company founder, Ludwig Schunk. His wise words, “Cultivating the future and the upward development of the company are the best ways to serve our employees,” will continue to inspire us as we look toward the future.

Our Charity Partner

Giving back is at the heart of everything we do and we’re thrilled to continue our charity partnership initiative. In 2023, we supported Falcon Support Services, a Loughborough-based charity doing incredible work to help the homeless and vulnerable transform their lives.

This year, we’ve partnered with Forget-me-not Chorus, a charity that brings joy and support to individuals living with dementia through the power of music. The chorus offers a welcoming space for people affected by dementia, along with their families and carers, to come together and sing. Their work helps to reduce the loneliness that often accompanies dementia and provides emotional support to all those involved.

In addition, we are proud to have supported The Toy Appeal this Christmas, raising £1,000 to help bring joy to children in need. We were able to pick an extensive range of toys, beauty products, books and arts and crafts for children aged 2-16 year old. It’s a cause close to our hearts, and we’re grateful to our team for their generosity in making a positive impact this holiday season.

We’re currently choosing our charity partner for 2025, and we’ll announce the new collaboration early in the New Year. Stay tuned for more updates!

Enhancing Workplace Safety with a New Defibrillator

At Weiss Technik UK, the safety and well-being of our staff has always been a top priority. To further enhance workplace safety, we took a significant step forward by installing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on the first floor of our Loughborough office. In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, an AED can be a lifesaving device, increasing the chances of survival by providing immediate access to defibrillation.

To ensure our staff are prepared in case of an emergency, we conducted a comprehensive two-hour training session on how to use the defibrillator effectively. With this new addition, not only do we reduce response times in critical situations, but we also offer peace of mind, knowing that our team members are trained to act swiftly and confidently.
