A Year of Fundraising with Rainbows Hospice

Over the past year, Weiss Technik UK has been proud to support Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People as our chosen charity. Rainbows provide vital care and support to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as crucial support for their families, work that truly changes lives every single day.

Inspired by the incredible impact of the hospice, our team has gone above and beyond to raise funds and awareness throughout the year. From testing their endurance at the East Leake Triathlon to taking on the fun-filled It’s a Knockout Challenge, colleagues across the business have embraced every opportunity to challenge themselves in support of this remarkable cause.

Earlier this year, members of the team also had the privilege of visiting Rainbows and seeing first-hand the outstanding care being provided. Walking through the facilities and meeting the dedicated staff left a lasting impression on everyone involved and strengthened our commitment to supporting their mission. Since that visit, Rainbows has truly captured the hearts and minds of our team, and it has been an absolute pleasure to stand behind the incredible work they do day in, day out.

During our annual Service Meeting, the team took part in a collaborative LEGO-building activity as part of a team-building exercise. The completed sets were then donated to Rainbows, where some will be raffled to raise additional funds, while others will be gifted to siblings of children at the hospice as special Christmas presents, a small gesture we hope will bring plenty of smiles during the festive season.

As Christmas approaches, our support continues. Employees have been adding a little extra to their festive shopping baskets to ensure both staff and families at Rainbows can enjoy some delicious treats on the big day. The team will also be lacing up their running shoes once again to take part in a Santa Fun Run on 7th December, raising even more funds in festive style.

We’re delighted to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity and dedication of our team, we have raised a total of £2,238 for Rainbows Hospice this year. This fantastic amount will go directly towards supporting the children, young people and families who rely on Rainbows’ care and services.
