Weir & Carmichael's Hessian Fabric featured in Major Liverpool Event

Weir & Carmichael, a Merseyside based company since 1955 are proud to be supplying Hessian Fabric for the the Giant Spectacular, a major event which is set to bring masses of tourism to the city. The Giant Spectacular is a puppet show experience featuring puppets of a little girl giant and her uncle, a story based around the Titantic to commemorate 100 years since the ship sunk. It has been created by French entertainment company Royal De Luxe and happened around the city of Liverpool on 20th-22nd April. Weir & Carmichael supplied Hessian Rolls for the event to make into a large hessian sack which the girl will be carrying around the city. Hessian also know as Jute, is a natural fabric made from the Jute plant. It is strong, durable and environmentally friendly which makes it ideal for a wide range of packaging and wrapping applications. The fabric is most commonly used in Building applications, furniture and bed manufacturing, carpet backing and geo textile applications, as well as making Hessian Sacks and Sandbags. The type of weave of Hessian fabric allows air to circulate whilst protecting the contents. This makes it ideal for the packaging of food items such as potatoes. However, Hessian is a versatile fabric, ideal for almost any application and our Hessian Fabric is be used in the Giant Spectacular performance.
