Weir & Carmichael win large order for Kerbside Bags for Cornwall County Council

Kerbside recycling bag supplier, Weir & Carmichael have won a substantial order for the supply of 500,000 re-usable kerbside bags to Cornwall County Council. The bags are to be used for the collection of cardboard and paper and are part of an 8 year contract which is expected to save the Authority over £3m per annum. The new County Council was formed from the merger of 6 District Councils, half of whom were previously using disposable recycling bags, whilst 3 others had varying recycling systems.
