Weir & Carmichael enhance business performance through Employee Training

The Staff at Weir & Carmichael have now started an internal training scheme in which ten of our employees will be completing various training courses for the next year. The courses are set to enhance the skills of our already experienced employees in a company wide business improvement scheme. Industrial packaging supplier, Weir & Carmichael want to invest in their employees and make sure thier already experienced staff can back this up with on the job training and gain a qualification at the end of the year long courses. Employees involved are taking various on the job courses which are relevant to their job role. These include: Customer Service, Management, Business admin, Warehousing and storage level 2 and 3 certificates which is equivalent to the old NVQ’s. The training will also help to provide employee moral and motivation and ensure strong foundation in which to take the company forward in this exciting year. Weir & Carmichael are also working towards the Investors in People. This is the UK’s people management standard which aims to improve business performance through investment into their staff. Business Development Manager quoted “We are dedicated to ensuring our staff feel valued and gaining the Investors in People Standard will integrate with our long standing values to ensure the people within the organisation are happy. This will in turn ensure we offer the best service available to our customers and will hopefully serve as a benchmark for the quality of the service we provide.”.
