Super Runners Excel in Liverpool Half Marathon

Weir & Carmichael would like to say a huge thank you and congratulations to two of our employees who ran the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday 17th March! Kevin Thornton and Cassandra O’Prey ran their first half marathon at an amazing 1 hour 55 minutes and 2 hours 18 minutes respectively. Kevin Thronton & Cassie O'Prey at the finish line Cassie O'Prey states "Taking part in the Liverpool Half Marathon was a great achievement for me. It was so inspiring to see so many people raise money for thier chosen charities. Thank you to Weir & Carmichael and everyone who sponsored us and supported our charity, Zoes Place." The two employees were running to raise money for Zoes Place, a hospice for terminally ill babies based in Liverpool. Sponsored by Weir & Carmichael, they managed to raise a whopping £800 which is the highest amount raised for a Weir & Carmichael fundraising activity.
