ISO18001 Health and Safety Accreditation Success at Weir & Carmichael

Weir & Carmichael are thrilled to announce they have successfully passed the tough and rigorous standards of the ISO18001 Health & Safety Management Accreditation. The internationally recognised accreditation is a framework which helps organisations to firstly identify and control health and safety risks and reduce the potential for accidents, whilst also helping with legal compliance. All of this will in turn, will help improve overall business performance. After the assessment of the internal systems and procedures were put through a strict auditing process, Weir & Carmichael were praised for their high level of compliance with legislation and procedures as set by the standard. The ISO18000 accreditation proves that the business provides a safe and healthy working environment and demonstrates that good health and safety culture is embedded into their organisation throughout all levels of the business. The ISO18001 is the latest in a line of accreditations awarded to Weir & Carmichael as part of a programme to ensure they are at the forefront of industrial packaging and recycling products. They achieved ISO9001 accreditation for quality in 2005, and ISO14001 for Environmental Management in 2009. Weir & Carmichael are one of the first businesses in the industry to have all three accreditations and the management consider these accreditations as a vital part to the company’s success.
