Employees to run half marathon for charity

Weir & Carmichael Ltd are proud to sponsor the efforts of Sales Co-ordinators Kevin Thornton & Cassandra O’Prey, who are going to be taking part in the Liverpool Half Marathon. They will be running in aid of Zoë’s Place; a local hospice for terminally ill babies. Zoë’s Place is the only baby specific hospice in the UK. It provides specialist respite care, palliative care and end of life care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Kevin told us: “Cassie and I are extremely proud to be supporting the work that Zoë’s Place does, we have chosen Zoë’s Place because of its local heritage and because we think we can make a larger impact for a smaller charity. We just hope we raise a large amount for the cause!” The Liverpool Half Marathon is due to take place on, Sunday 17th March 2013, where Weir & Carmichael will be cheering their colleagues across the finish line. As part of our annual corporate social responsibility policy, Weir & Carmichael are commited to helping support the local community we operate in. We are proud to be sponsoring such a great cause and hope to raise a great deal of money alongside the businesses sponsorship.
