Project aims to make development of new treatments more efficient
The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) is a partner in a new public-private project called the Accelerated Development of Appropriate Patient Therapies (ADAPT SMART). The project, which is being funded by the EU Innovative Medicines Initiative, aims to identify activities that can make the development and regulation of medicines more efficient. One key strategy that addresses this is the Medicines Adaptive Pathways to Patients (MAPP) which allows patients with unmet medical needs to gain access to treatments as early as possible. The project is a collaboration of 32 international partners that includes regulators, patients, academia and industry representatives. If you are developing a medicine that has the potential to benefit from early access or adaptive licensing and would like to discuss your requirements with our consultants, please contact us on enquiries@wainwrightassociates.co.uk or call +44 (0)1628 530554.
