Wagstaff moves to new flagship Head Office

One-stop shop Wagstaff Interiors Group celebrated its 110th anniversary in late February’s wind- and rain-swept London with two open days (and a very jolly evening party) at the company’s brand new Penson Group-designed showroom and administration centre in Brewhouse Yard. Just shy of 300 visitors (clients, designers, Clerkenwell liggers) signed in and signed on to a raffle to win a bike amongst bikes, the iconic Harley-Davidson Iron 883 (appetites suitably whetted by the sight of one of these beasts parked up on the red) with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK. Sideshows included a ‘walk-of-fame’ through some momentous designs, inventions, business ventures and achievements of 1903: a delicious diversity including The Wright Brothers first flight, the Panhard-Levassor car, the Coat Hanger, the Crayon and the good old Harley. Wagstaff lays claim to being Britain’s longest-established workplace interiors provider and yards of boggling stats handed out on the night cites the company transforming over half a billion square feet of office space in the UK in its century-plus in the business. MD Daren Miles cited it being “the first turnkey interiors specialist to make the move into the heart of the UK workplace design market” if also being somewhat surprised at the fact. He also highlighted Penson Group’s work on the design of the showroom and Lee Penson’s practice has done a fine job of accommodating within one space showcases for AV solutions, wi-fi/my-fi spaces, collaborative working, specification and finishes
