Former apprentice appointed to lead Stannah’s Glasgow lift services operation

With almost 20 years at Stannah, Martin’s appointment demonstrates the long-term career opportunities available within the lift industry and the company’s commitment to developing talent.

Martin joined Stannah in 2007 before beginning his Lift Engineer apprenticeship in 2009. Over the years, he has progressed through a range of roles including Lift Engineer, Technical Sales Consultant and most recently Field Service Manager, building extensive technical, commercial and operational expertise along the way.

Since March 2024, Martin has successfully led the Glasgow field team as Field Service Manager, supporting customers across the region with lift maintenance, repairs and service delivery. In his new role, he will take responsibility for the overall leadership and performance of the Glasgow branch, ensuring customers continue to receive the high standards of lift service and support for which Stannah is known.

Martin will report to Andy Miller, Regional Manager, and will lead the Glasgow branch as it continues to support customers across Scotland with lift maintenance, repairs, modernisation and technical services.

Reflecting on his appointment, Martin said: “I’m incredibly proud to take on the role of Branch Manager in Glasgow. Having spent almost two decades with Stannah, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside talented colleagues and gain experience across different areas of the business. I look forward to supporting our team, strengthening relationships with customers and continuing to build on the branch’s success.“
