Our economy folding wheelchair ramp combined with rubber threshold ramps creates the perfect portable up and over system for doors such as UPVC. Using a portable ramp system offers numerous advantages. It allows individuals with mobility challenges to easily access different areas, such as doorways and thresholds, without the need for permanent modifications. Bridge doorways and thresholds with The Ramp People's Drive-in System, which includes a rubber threshold ramp and a folding wheelchair ramp. Perfect for use at home or in shops and workplaces, the ramps can be used to overcome difficult uPVC door thresholds and areas where the height varies on either side of the doorway. With the folding ramp available in lengths up to 8ft, the system can be used to overcome several steps outside, whilst the rubber ramps are available in heights up to 203mm/8", ideal for higher steps and thresholds. For those who are concerned about the weight of the wheelchair or mobility scooter on the threshold, select a rubber ramp which is slightly higher than your door threshold to allow the folding ramp to rest on the rubber ramp, safely bypassing the doorframe. Alternatively, the rubber ramp can be placed inside with the folding ramp on the outside. The aluminium folding ramps are 720mm wide. The 2ft - 6ft folding ramps have a flat hinge, the 7ft and 8ft folding ramps have a barrel hinge. The rubber ramps are provided as a pair, each ramp is 400mm wide, covering a total width of 800mm. The higher rubber ramps are heavy so generally left in place.
