Rope lagging is manufactured from low density blown glass fibre core enclosed in a braided cover of glass yarn. They differ from other glass fibres in that they are extra soft and pliable with excellent thermal insulation properties. The glass fibres are inorganic, sterile and incombustible, they are resistant to oils, solvents and most chemicals and have a low level of leachable chlorides and fluorides. They are suitable for temperatures up to 550?C and have low thermal conductivity
