New product range revealed – Trisert 3 Self-Tapping Thread inserts – now available in Grade 5 Titanium

Tappex can now offer from stock a range of Trisert 3 Self-tapping thread inserts, manufactured from Grade 5 Titanium. These new Titanium threaded inserts have a number of benefits over Stainless Steel inserts, including better corrosion resistance and improved strength to weight ratio. Titanium has three key properties that make it particularly desirable and these are… a) High level of corrosion resistance – Titanium does not corrode in seawater environments, or polluted waters, such as ports or harbours. b) Low Density – The density is approx 50% less than Grade 316 Stainless Steel and therefore much lower weight c) High Strength – Titanium offers a much greater strength to weight ratio that steel or stainless steel materials The Trisert 3 range, manufactured in our facility in Stratford-Upon-Avon are suitable for installation in to the majority of plastics, light alloys and new generation composite materials.
