Systech Illinois acquired by Union Park

We are pleased to announce that Industrial Physics, Inc., a Boston-based test and measurement manufacturer and portfolio company of Union Park Capital have acquired Systech Illinois.
Systech Illinois' application and technology expertise provides efficient gas analysis solutions in many industry sectors worldwide will be joined with TM Electronics in the Industrial Technology Group, as an independent operating entity under Industrial Physics. By combining resources the new formation will bring customers a comprehensive suite of solutions for permeation, package testing and MAP gas analysis used by food, beverage, electronics, pharmaceutical and medical device companies as well as packaging material suppliers to assure product quality and long shelf-life. Systech Illinois will be led by Doug Lindemann, who is an industry veteran with experience of growing businesses in permeation, MAP gas analysis and leak detection applications. Doug spent 20 years with MOCON most recently serving as Vice President/General Manager Permeation Products & Services. “We are delighted to have Systech Illinois join the Industrial Physics family. Systech Illinois has a strong product offering and history of excellent customer service. This acquisition expands our offering to product shelf-life determination and package integrity assurance, bringing another critical capability to the Industrial Physics portfolio,” said Jim Neville, CEO of Industrial Physics. “With the addition of Systech Illinois, Industrial Physics bolsters its position as a leader in material and physical property testing instrumentation.” said Mr. Neville. “We are very excited to be joining the Industrial Physics family,” says Bryan Cummings, former owner and President of Systech Illinois. “Becoming part of a larger platform will allow us to take advantage of synergies with Industrial Physics’ other companies in flexible packaging and industrial markets. We feel we currently have a strong product portfolio at Systech Illinois, with several significant product development projects in the works. With this new relationship with Industrial Physics, we feel confident that we will be able to contribute to Industrial Physics’ growth.”

Mr. Cummings will continue to lead product development for Systech Illinois. “We are thrilled to have such a talented industry veteran as Bryan stay with the business,” said Mr. Neville. Systech Illinois will continue to support their worldwide base of distributors and customers in the packaging, food & pharmaceutical and process industries.
