As a leader in biowaste decontamination and biosafety solutions, Suncombe was thrilled to participate in the 12th Annual Conference of the Association of Biosafety for Australia and New Zealand (ABSANZ) in Brisbane.
This year’s theme, “The Future of Containment – Thinking Outside the ‘Facility’,” promised to be a detailed exploration of innovative containment strategies that extend beyond traditional settings.
Innovative Containment in Novel Settings
The 2024 conference peaked into the current and future landscapes of biosafety and biosecurity, highlighting the importance of adapting to new research, emerging threats, and changing environmental conditions. Workshops and presentations showcased the latest advancements in containment technologies and their applications across various sectors, including industry, community, and environmental settings.
Networking and Collaboration Opportunities
Beyond the insightful sessions, the conference offered a unique platform for networking and collaboration. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals, fostering partnerships that can drive innovation and progress in biosafety and biosecurity. Zul connected with a great many fellow participants, and shared our expertise and some of our latest projects including the ISO11 building installation at the Pirbright Institute. We were also able to explore some additional potential collaborations for future collective efforts in advancing containment solutions.
