We offer a comprehensive range of book binning and book racking, designed specifically for use in distribution centres and warehouses that allows large number of titles to be easily accessed. Our racking is made to suit the books to be stored and available space, so we can ensure that our clients always maximise their available space. Book Binning For fast and efficient book picking operations our racking is carefully designed to optimise picking routes, while ensuring easy accessibility and visibility of each title for the picker. The book racking can be customised to meet your SKU holdings, with a range of sizes available all with adjustable shelf heights. Books are stored as individual units within the pick racking, allowing the picker to quickly identify, scan and pick the title according to the order. All racking can be barcoded for SKU management and we can also provide this service if necessary. Books can be placed individually on the shelves or within carton sleeves to assist with grouping. Where ultimate storage density is required, we provide mobile shelving or roller racking, which provides up to 150% additional storage capacity for a given floor space. Roller racking is the ultimate solution for increasing storage capacity without having to expand your operational footprint, and experience has shown that with proper picking routes there is very little impact on picking speeds. We can also integrate workstations neatly into the racking, where computers, printers and charging stations can be used. Book Carton Storage For intermediate bulk storage of books in cartons our larger carton racking system is specifically designed for the storage of cartons. Each level can hold over 18 cartons with racking heights anywhere between 2 – 12m and above. All carton racking is insurance provider approved and we can supply with either solid or mesh decking to support the cartons. Where specific fire protection or sprinkler coverage is required, we can work with the relevant experts to ensure design compliance. Book Bulk Storage Palletised books are stored within pallet racking systems, providing most efficient use of space and storage density. We can provide pallet racking for all pallet types and quantities. Depending on your available space and required stock holding quantities we always ensure to maximise use of your space with the racking design. Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) – an important part of warehouse design, the choice of MHE is critical to the layout of the pallet racking. We can design storage systems for all types of MHE including counterbalance forklift, reach truck, bendy truck and very narrow aisle (VNA) trucks. Optimisation We offer advice on design and setup of the racking so as to ensure maximum pick speed combined with flexible stock management.
