O2 Interface Board Cost Effective Solutions
The Facts SST Oxygen (O2) Analyzers are often used in the biomass and combustion market, where they are fitted to improve heating and efficiency of boilers and reduce harmful emissions. The O2 Analyzers are used in these applications due to their ease of use, convenience and easy installation instructions. Although this is the primary target market for these sensors, the O2 Oxygen Sensors can be used for a large number of alternative applications such as agricultural processes, composting, mushroom growing, medical and laboratory equipment, food transportation and storage applications and general monitoring of oxygen (O2) content. These applications, in some cases do not require an oxygen (o2) analyzer, all they need is an oxygen sensor and the electronic circuit board to operate it. The Problem Previously, SST sold o2 oxygen sensors and the electric circuit boards that are needed for them to operate efficiently, separately. For these customers that required this solution, it was a costly purchase for them, as the oxygen interface boards needed to operate the oxygen sensors would cost more than the sensor itself in almost every instance. The Solution In order to overcome these issues for future prospects and customers, our engineers decided it was time to design the O2I-Flex, which is a higher spec, better quality and more cost effective oxygen (o2) interface board than before. The O2I-Flex is a flexible, all in one solution required to operate our range of dynamic Zirconium Dioxide Oxygen Sensors. The new generation of oxygen interface boards eliminates the need for our customers to execute their own control electronics and provides them with a higher quality and more cost effective solution. The O2I-Flex Oxygen Interface Boards has three output signals for the customer to choose from all on the one version of the oxygen interface board; current, voltage and RS232. With benefits of having externally triggered manual or automatic calibrations, which can be initiated via an on-board push button switch and calibration in normal air or any known gas concentration, illustrates how versatile and high spec this product really is. The O2I-Flex oxygen interface board has been purchased by a number of customers who are using these sensors with great success in their own applications.
