Bluestar Fibres, Grimsby - Tank Lining, Aggressive Chemical Process We were asked the engineers of Bluestar Fibres in Grimsby to line a stainless steel tank for them to give protection against strong aggressive chemicals. For reasons of client process confidentiality we are unable to give the name of the chemicals that will be used within the tank. In order to keep the costs down the tank was prepared for us by means of abrasive grit blasting by a local company prior to our arrival to site. We applied new lining, a specialised vinyl ester glass flake system and following application tested it for dry film thickness and absence of micro-porosity. From our side the work was completed within 3 working days.
