Combined Heat and Power Boiler Installations
The very new Combined Heat and Power (CHP) boiler units due to be released in mid 2009 by Baxi, are a toned down version of the commercial CHP units we have seen for a while. They have smaller outputs/inputs that have been designed to work within domestic properties. Solo Heating Installations are one the few domestic heating installers who are currently undergoing the training needed to install combined heat and power systems to ensure it is done correctly and to the manufacturer's specification. CHP boilers heat much like a normal boiler, at an extremely high efficiency but also create electricity for your home. This electricity production is what makes the CHP unit so efficient compared to a regular boiler. Key features and benefits: - For the Environment: electricity generated close to where it is to be used has fewer carbon emissions and is far more efficient. - For the Householder: saving money on electricity bills. In addition, it may be possible to sell unused electricity back to the local grid. - For Specifiers and house builders: Micro CHP offers an effective way of meeting the Government's targets towards zero carbon homes. - For Utilities: micro CHP offers an effective way of meeting the UK Government's Carbon Reduction Targets with the CERT Program. The government is now pushing for energy production on a micro level i.e producing your own energy in your own home. The DACHS CHP boiler unit will be able to deliver that solution. It will be able to get the most out the energy that is currently so readily available like gas and electricity.
