Andrew King is SGS’ New National Sales Manage
Andrew King has started work as SGS’ new National Sales Manager, Systems & Services Certification. With 23 years’ management experience in the mechanical engineering, textile and microelectronics industries, Andrew brings to SGS considerable expertise in sales, customer support, operations, project management and account management. Andrew is responsible for a UK-wide, area-focused team of Client Managers and Sales Co-ordinators. “My priority is to make sure my sales team effectively promotes and sells SGS services in all our chosen markets, and to retain and grow business with our existing clients through providing a high level of customer service,” says Andrew. “I believe we have tremendous opportunities ahead, particularly due to the introduction of new standards and supply chain and legislative developments, and SGS’ ability to create bespoke solutions to clients’ requirements.” Andrew’s Team While focused on maintaining and building client relationships, Client Managers are also qualified auditors and spend some of their time auditing their clients. They can also be involved in activities such as selecting auditing teams. In addition, some Client Managers have particular product, service and market specialisations. Sales Co-ordinators are involved in all aspects of sales, including telephone and e-mail prospecting, exhibitions, event follow-up calls and arranging Client Manager visits. Ends
