Shaft Handling We have solutions for all types of shaft handling be it solid shafts or air shafts, removable or fixed. Shaft Extraction Carts Here, the shaft gripper remains in a fixed position while the cart moves to strip the reels. The gripper moves to locate on the shaft drive collar. The shaft is held cantilevered in the gripper head Shaft Extraction Here, the reels remain on a fixed table while the extractor pulls the shaft from the reels. The shaft is supported by popup rollers. There are 2 variants : • The extractor can be a fixed height, with the table raising / lowering to locate the shaft drive collar • The table is a fixed height and the extractor raises / lowers to locate on the shaft drive collar. Shaft Loading/Unloading Here an overhead crane loads the new re-cored shaft into the winder. Once the product run has completed, the same crane removes the shaft and delivers it to the extractor
