Find The Needle Add My Company
Where does high frequency welding originate from?
High frequency welding is a method used by many companies worldwide it provides a watertight airtight seal that is stronger than using heat and other methods. But, where did it originate from? Who made this fantastic discovery? I can hear you all saying.......... well fear not because I may have the answer. During World War 2 radios transmitted using high frequency to speak to other units and their HQ relaying messages back and forth. It is believed that while a Tank Commander was transmitting to HQ or another unit, a soldier left his rain jacket made out of PVC where the antenna was transmitting thus causing the rain jacket to become fused against the tank. It is a great story and once again if true this discovery made again by sheer luck has been used for years by companies worldwide and provides a reliable seal good enough to be used to seal blister packs (you know the ones you need scissors to open to get to your razor) survival suits, baby care such as changing mats, ostomy bags etc.... the list goes on and on and you will probably own a product that was encased by a blister pack that was high frequency welded and probably turned the air blue trying to open it.
