There were numerous challenges that occurred from this work which included bad weather, working around the existing old sandstone sets in the car park and finally having to keep the noise down whilst students were taking exams. The project was completed before the term had ended, although it meant that on the final day the workers had to complete a 20 hour day, the end result was an attractive, hard wearing and low maintenance surface.
