Radford Ezy Net has completed a new fully enclosed cricket practice facility at Inkberrow Cricket Club, bringing a project that began with an initial enquiry in October 2023 through to a finished training space.
In a Facebook update, the company described the planning, fundraising, approvals and commitment involved in turning the club’s ambition into a completed facility. Radford Ezy Net was appointed to construct the 30m x 7.8m practice area, with work beginning on 23 March.
A Purpose-Built Practice Environment
The finished facility combines a 155mm compacted stone foundation with underlay and high-quality cricket carpet. A treated timber perimeter structure and fully UV-treated netting complete the installation.
The enclosed layout provides a dedicated training space for players of different ages and abilities, supporting both individual practice and organised coaching sessions.
Supporting Players and Club Development
For Inkberrow Cricket Club, the project represents more than a replacement set of nets. The new facility is intended to provide a versatile practice environment for junior and senior players, while supporting coaching and the club’s longer-term development.
Radford Ezy Net praised the people at the club who contributed to making the project happen and wished Inkberrow success with the facility in the seasons ahead.
From Initial Enquiry to Completed Installation
The project highlights the work that can take place before construction begins on a grassroots sporting facility. Discussions about requirements, funding and approvals all form part of the journey from an idea to a usable training area.
Established by former Worcestershire and England cricketer Neal Radford, Radford Ezy Net supplies cricket net systems and training solutions for clubs, schools and other customers in the UK and overseas.
Its work at Inkberrow demonstrates how a planned installation can bring together the playing surface, supporting structure and netting to create a dedicated space for cricket development.
