The one shown in the pictures is a 1200 tonne press which stands 4 m high and weighs only 26 tonnes and importantly does not require any foundations. It is faster and more energy efficient than a conventional hydraulic press saving up to 60% The sink that Martin Hansen, Kiermar MD, is holding is 200 mm deep and done in a single operation. Die change is very quick and can be done in just 10 minutes using the integrated die cart and optional crane. Kiermar presses are far easier to maintain, the hydraulic and electrical systems are located inside the press mostly at floor level.
