Retrofit Circuit Breakers

Our retrofit circuit breaker was designed to accommodate the increase in rating from 39kA to 53kA at 11kV and in type testing performed on a retrofit breaker in its original cubicle, demonstrating the complete switchgear was satisfactory for the upgraded rating. Some of the benefits that are realised by not replacing complete switchboards are: No need to disturb or replace HV cables No new civil work required Significant overall cost savings Minimal disruption to site and supplies Since we first introduced retrofit breakers we have designed, tested and supplied vacuum breakers to replace air and oil circuit breakers from many UK manufacturers into a many different installations.
