Sludge Handling Technology

Sludge is an unavoidable product of water and wastewater treatment process and its treatment and disposal is a significant consideration in the design of effluent treatment works. There are a number of technologies available for the stabilisation of sludge and recovery of energy. The selection of the most appropriate technology is dependent on a range of factors considering quality and routes of disposal. Throughout our involvement in designing treatment plants, we have gained specialized expertise in sludge thickening; from conventional picket fence systems to Membrane Bioreactor Systems (MBR); and dewatering equipment. Today, that expertise has been translated into the development of the industry’s most advanced state-of-the-art line of Belt Filter Presses and Gravity Belt Thickeners, together with sludge stabilisation and biogas harvesting.
